Grey Areas - Shado Mag

I was inspired by scenes in I May Destroy You, where the central character is sexually assaulted on a night out with friends. I wanted to depict the grey areas of assault: bright lights and the euphoric feeling of dancing with your friends, against the confusion and uncertainty of reaching hands and distorted figures. The illustration exists as a moment frozen in time, a snapshot of a hazy memory where joy and fear collide.
